This notice explains how Brightwell Energy uses your personal data.
What we collect
Your contact details, supply address, meter details, meter readings (including half-hourly smart meter data if you choose it), payment details, and records of our conversations with you.
Why we use it
To supply and bill your energy (contract), to meet our legal obligations (including the Priority Services Register and debt assistance), to prevent fraud (legitimate interests), and, only if you agree, to send you news and offers.
Smart meter data
We use monthly readings for billing. We only collect daily or half-hourly readings if you choose them or your tariff needs them (EV Nights and Sunshare Export). You can change this in your account.
Who we share it with
Your previous and next supplier, network operators and industry bodies to complete switches; meter installers; credit reference agencies when you join; and our IT and payment providers. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email r+brightwell-privacy@haggl.ai.
