Extra support and the Priority Services Register
If you or someone in your home is of pensionable age, disabled, has a long-term medical condition, relies on medical equipment that needs power, has young children, or just needs a little extra help for a while, you can join our Priority Services Register. It’s free.
Being on the register means we can: give you advance notice of planned power cuts (your network operator does this too), send bills in large print or braille, nominate someone to deal with us on your behalf, and set up a password scheme for anyone visiting your home.
If you’re struggling to pay
Please talk to us early. We can spread a balance, pause recovery, check you’re getting the Warm Home Discount if you qualify, and point you to independent advice from Citizens Advice (0808 223 1133).
